    Did you know that chestnuts have been a staple food for centuries? Boiled chestnuts typically contain 120 calories per 100 grams, compared to 190 calories per 100 grams of roasted chestnuts. While boiled chestnuts have fewer calories by weight, this difference is largely due to the water absorbed or lost during cooking.
